Pastor Tom Changing Perceptions/Saving Souls

Conventional wisdom and the old way of doing things sometimes need to change. Tom’sΒ  first example is an America industry person, specifically Henry Ford. He did major changes to the methods used to manufacture a car. His new methods were controversial. The method proved to be successful.

Today sermon talks about Peter in Acts 11. The old ways of worship required a person to be a Jew.Β  After Jesus death and resurrection changes were needed. With the Lords guidance Peter worked hard to deal with the changes.

At Faith we often see changes that take some getting used to. An example is the change to early part of the Lords supper. In the past it was easy to go for communion without thinking about the reason. Now the preparation service includes statements of our belief in Jesus Christ. Statements about what we believe about communion.

Peter brought about a change for better understanding about being saved.Β  The communion process change helps us to clarify our beliefs each time we participate in communion.
