Be Strong … The Battle Begins

Joshua 1:5-7 (NIV) “5 No one will be able to stand

against you all the days of your life. As I was

with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you

nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and courageous, because

you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to

their ancestors to give them.”

 

7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to

obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not

turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be

successful wherever you go.”

The Lower Story follows the actions of Joshua and the

people of Israel as the enter the land of Canaan to do

___________ with and to _____________ all the kingdoms

that were in the land.

In the Upper Story, God is _____________ His people and

_____________ for them so that they may receive the

gifts He has ______________ them.

Joshua 1:8 (NIV) “8 Keep this Book of the Law always on

your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be

careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be

prosperous and successful.”

Luke 12:29-31 (NIV) “29 And do not set your heart on what

you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan

world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that

you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things

will be given to you as well.”

Live your lives for the ___________, following the example of

Jesus.

Live with our focus on Christ, and everything you need for

your daily life will be _______________ to you by God.

Luke 12:32 (NIV) “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your

Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.”

In Our Story (My Story), we put our ___________ in

in its various forms.”
