THE Story this week raised a lot of questions!

WHO CAN'T or WHO WON'T be included in the church
triumphant, in eternal life?

Is there really a day of the LORD coming?

2 Corinthians 5:10 (NIV) For we must all appear be-
fore the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may
receive what is due him for the things done while in
the body, whether good or bad.

Hebrews 4:13 (NIV) Nothing in all creation is hidden
from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid
bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give
account.

Is there such a thing as " universal " forgiveness?

We are all sinners!

Romans 3:23 (NIV) for all have sinned and fall short of
the glory of God,

Psalm 51:5 (NIV) Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the
time my mother conceived me.

None of us 11 deserves 11 God's mercy and grace in Jesus
Christ.

Romans 6:23a (NIV) For the wages of sin is death,

How is it possible for anyone to face the judgement
and reach God's hall of fame?

Romans 6:23b (NIV) "...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord.

Somebody had to pay sins wage.

Colossians 2:13-15 (NIV) When you were dead in your sins and in the
uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ.
He forgave us all our sins,14 having canceled the written code, with its
regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took
it away, nailing it to the cross.1S And having disarmed the powers and
authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them
by the cross.

Ephesians 2:13 (NIV) But now in Christ Jesus you who
once were far away have been brought near through the
blood of Christ.

We look at our sin and ask, "How can we be saved ?

God looks at our hearts and asks, "Do you believe in my son?"

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV) 8 For it is by grace you have been
saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the
gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

We look at our sin and ask, Who will be
Christ answers...

Mark 16:16 (NIV) Whoever believes and is baptized
will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Psalm 51:7 (NIV) Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be
clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

John 19:29 (NIV)29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they
soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips.

John 19:30 (NIV)30 When he had received the drink, Jesus
said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave
up his spirit.

Romans 6:23 (NIV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift
of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 3:16 (NIV) 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave
his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life.
