This Week at Faith - November 26, 2017

Advent, 2017

Join us for Advent by Candlelight on Sunday, December 3rd at 5:00pm for a lovely evening of fellowship, faith, music, and inspiration designed to bring our Faith family together, enhancing the season of Christmas.

Everyone is asked to bring an item:  a favorite hors d'oeuvres or dessert.

Table hosts will decorate their table in the spirit of the season with at least one candle to adorn their decorations.

The evening has two distinct elements:
1)  Hors d'oeuvres and conversations (Christmas music fills the background);
2)  An inspirational/faith-building worship experience with soloists, choir, devotional/inspirational elements that direct our hearts to focus on the reason for the season.

There are special activities planned for children to encourage all our Faith family to attend.  We’ve planned the evening to end at 7pm, so that families with young children may attend.

So mark your calendar and plan on attending.  To reserve a spot for the evening go to http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409044ca4ad2fa57-advent1 or call the church office.

This is a great way to begin our celebration as a Family of Faith and a great opportunity to invite guests to join with you. I hope you will be able to join with us for Advent by Candlelight December 3, 2017.

“All that we call human history—money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery—is  the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy.” C.S. How Have You Been Blessed?null

Philippians 1:5  “I always thank God… because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” God doesn’t need anything we have. Yet He invites us to give so that we can indeed become “partners in the Gospel.” This is a gift of His grace: inviting us to do significant work in the Kingdom of God.
